Since nobody else has followed up on this yet, I'll chime in.

Although I don't live in Colorado anymore, I have spent 16 years
living in the Denver area, and this is my experience with the weather
and packing advice.

Be prepared for anything. Really. During the days of the convention,
it's quite possible that you'll see both a pleasant, sunny 70 degree
day, a freezing, snowy day, and everything in between.

The number one thing that trips up out-of-town visitors is the huge
temperature swings between day and night. When the sun goes down, the
temperature *plummets* (unless it's overcast, which is rare). If you
go out in the evening, be prepared for this.

Pack layers. Dress in layers. Layers are your friend.

Don't forget a hat - one that will keep your ears warm.

Don't just pack for cold. Expect cold, yes, but also expect warm
(it's 74 in Denver today, for example).

Above all, enjoy. Denver is a great place.

Cheers
