Greetings Brothers!
Alpha Phi Omega's National Service Week is here! This week, November 1-7,
2004, is a chance for your chapter to shine by joining with thousands of
Brothers across the nation in our Fraternity's 26th unified fall service
effort--we could really call it "Service & Publicity Week." This year's theme is
"Building a Sound Body."
The Goals of NSW are to:
1) Do a project this week reflecting the theme. If you can't do a project
this week, you can report on a project you do another time--as long as you
report on time (11/15/2004).
2) Publicize your project: posters, state proclamations, press releases, etc.
3) Invite and involve non-APO members in your project. This is a great way
to spread the word about who we are and what we do...and a wonderful way to
recruit new members.
4) Report on your project on or by November 15, 2004. You may use the form
included in the NSW handbook or report online which only takes a few minutes:
_http://members.apo.org/service/service_reporting.php_
(http://members.apo.org/service/service_reporting.php)
*Reporting is REQUIRED for your chapter to be in good standing, even if you
report that your chapter did not participate in NSW.
You will find the NSW handbook and other helpful information online--this
year you have the chance to make a personal, or chapter, NSW commitment and see
others' commitments, too: _http://members.apo.org/service/index.php_

Special thanks to Blondie Barnes for chairing NSW 2003 & 2004, and to all
members of the National Service & Communication Committee for helping to make
NSW a success.
Good luck--I can't wait to read about your projects!
Yours in L, F, & S,
Carla Moran
Service & Communication Program Director
PS-Last year we logged 56,000+ NSW hours and I think we can top that this
year!
