I don't like absolutes like ages ... may I suggest:
No undergraduate shall have such status, unless they are more than 4 years
past high school graduation.
This is similar to the NFL rule - which says you must wait until 3 years
after graduation to enter the draft. It allows for those who graduated early
(16 or 17) to complete 4 years, get some necessary experience to be
advisors, and not be beholden to any age per se.
