Actually, as long as you are supporting any of a myriad of
children's cancer organizations, your money is going to go
to a good cause.  People are misled because they only hear
about St. Judes and think that that is the only place in the
country where cancer research is going on.  They are just
the best at PR!!!  Many of the big cities that have a
children's hospital have strong cancer research programs
going at that hospital.... so another choice as far as
donating could be the local branch of the leukemia and
lymphoma society.

As someone who plans to do a fellowship in pediatric
hematology/oncology, I sure hope that I get support for my
research without feeling like I have to move to Memphis!!!!!
