And no, this is not an email hoax - this event is legitimate, and advertised on Chili's and St. Jude's websites: http://www.stjude.org/corporate/0,2516,410_2034_11944,00.html http://www.chilis.com/ During the month of September (National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month), Chili's is sponsoring a nationwide campaign to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the fight against childhood cancer. For the entire month, Chili's is sponsoring the Create a Pepper to Fight Childhood Cancer campaign in which guests will be invited to donate $1 or more to color the Chili's signature pepper logo. Additionally, on September 20 (a monday) we ask that you, your family and your friends visit the restaurant for lunch or dinner to participate in a unique giving opportunity. On this special day, 100 percent of Chili's profits will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. * The goal for this September campaign is to raise $2 million for St. Jude. ** All of the 758 Chili's Grill & Bar locations owned by parent company Brinker International will donate 100 percent of profits on September 20, 2004, to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Participation at the company's 145 U.S. franchise locations will vary. Please visit your local Chili's for more information. You might want to call one or more of your local Chili's restaurants to make sure that they are participating,... Spread the word and I hope to see everyone at Chili's on the 20th! :-) Cheers! ===== Derek J.
