The Pledge Manual does not list the official jeweler.
The Small Chapter Survival book has several suggested pledge tests that include the jeweler. These tests have several other errors (PD referred to as Members at Large). The LD Committee could just take on an update of this manual and remove that item. When I used these quizzes in my chapter, that's one thing I did. We don't need to create a resolution or the like.
>&/or 2)require that chapters not require pledges to know the official jeweler (to reduce >the volume of asking to get the current info, incorrect info, or just it being a pain).
That's up to each chapter. Its something I would recommend chapter NOT require of their pledges. Like others, there is a certain amount of information I feel pledges should know and be tested on, another set they should know but not necessarily be tested on, and the rest is 'if they do learn/remember it, fine'. Knowing the jeweler to me falls into the 'nice to know, but I'm not going to test you on it' category.
