Actually after posting the question it occurred to me to search the
archives where I found the answer from a previous discussion. Our current
jeweler is Award Concepts who bought out Preferred Greek our previous
jeweler. Admittedly the message I'm citing is from late 2002 so perhaps
it's changed again.
I know it was Balfour when I pledged then actually changed before I
graduated which is why I was curious as to the history.
The information was once in the pledge manual. Perhaps this is myth but I
believe we went through a period where we did not have a contracted jeweler
and it was therefore removed from the manual. Most likely no one has ever
thought to put it back it. Bob London is ultimately responsible for all
the publications of the fraternity so a suggestion to him would probably be
the best course. If you feel it needs to have more weight for some reason
you could always submit it as a resolution for the convention to vote
on. Of course keep in mind if there are contractual issues, it may not be
wise to publish the information in a form that we are stuck with for two year.
So at this point the question changes to, can someone confirm it is still
Award Concepts? Then fill in the history blanks.
Thanks!
In Brotherhood,
Chris
