Hello everyone -

This time of year is when many scout councils and other youth service
agencies are interviewing for staff positions in their summer camp programs.
In particular, all camp programs need employees who are at least 21 and
others who are at least 18 years of age. The type of skills needed vary
widely, but most important is enjoying working with kids, especially in
the outdoors. Maybe you can use your time this summer to visit
and learn about a different part of the country!

Here are some links which can be used to find contact information for
various programs that may be hiring for either day camp or resident
(overnight) camp programs.

Two other sites listing Boy Scout and a few other camps - note
that these are not official BSA sites and some info might be out
of date, but they are both still quite useful references:

Camp Fire USA

4-H, YMCA/YWCA, the Salvation Army, and Boys' and Girls' Clubs and
other organizations also have local camps for children. These positions
provide great opportunities to meet and work with kids and learn a lot, too,
including developing your leadership and management skills.

In addition to camp staff positions, some of these organizations also have
internship positions available. Contact local councils to find out about
opportunities.

In service -
