I apologize to anyone who has already received this message. I just
recently discovered that my message to APO-L did not get distributed.

Brothers,
If you have not already received an invitation, I would like to invite
you all to attend the Region VIII Conference which will be held January
16-18th, 2004 in Omaha, Nebraska! The conference is being jointly hosted
by all four chapters of Section 26 (Nebraska) and will be held on the
campus of Creighton University.
On-line registration is available at http://conference.aporegionviii.org.
You can register and pay online using either a credit card or a Paypal
account, or simply register online and mail a check. Registration
packets are also available for download and printing in PDF format.
The registration cost is only $20 for alumni/advisors and all
chapters/extension groups outside of Region VIII until December 8th
(postmark) if mailing your registration and until December 18th if
registering on-line. After that the cost goes up to $30. Your
registration fee will provide breakfast on Sat. and Sun., lunch on Sat.,
a semi-formal banquet Sat. evening, all conference materials, a nice
souvenir, and some other goodies as well.
In addition to the myriad of new and exciting events that will be taking
place, the Region VIII Conference will also be host to a number of APO
LEADS Training courses (Basic Skills: Presentation Skills, Basic Skills:
Facilitation Skills, Explore Content Training, and Discover Content
Training). Email presdev.coordinator@leadership.apo.org to sign up for
any of these courses.
In addition to APO LEADS courses, we will also have many other events
for alumni/advisors including an optional reception, alumni track of
workshops, and alumni forum, and an advisor development workshop (ADW).
If you want some more reasons to attend the Region VIII Conference check
out the top ten list the conference planning committee put together -
I've included it at the end of this email.
For more information about the conference check out the website
http://conference.aporegionviii.org or email the conference chairs at
chair@conference.aporegionviii.org .
Please share this email with your chapters, alumni, advisors, etc.

So why should YOU come to Omaha? From the home office in Wahoo,
Nebraska, here are the top 10 reasons to attend the Region VIII
Conference:
10. This conference will have the largest number of distinguished alumni
and National Board Members in attendance outside of a National
Convention! (Including over a dozen current and former National Board
Members)
9. We will be offering over 40 workshops (by top presenters from around
the country) throughout the weekend organized into tracks such as
membership, service, chapter operations, APO history, National
Convention, alumni, and more.
8. A*P*O*Palooza on Friday night! This will be an evening of fun and
fellowship including a variety of activities and competitions such as
basketball, card games, and the largest twister match in APO history!
7. Come get a preview of what the National Convention in Denver, CO 2004
has to offer!
6. We will be offering workshop and service opportunities all day
(similar to a National Convention) so you will have plenty of activities
to choose from that suit your taste.
5. We will have an abundant APO Store where you can bring your old APO
merchandise for us to sell for you and shop for unique APO merchandise
from other chapters, the National Office store, and merchandise from
Fraternity Row (Jordan Neuringer).
4. Develop your leadership skills by participating in any of the APO
LEADS courses! We will be offering sections of Launch, Explore, Achieve,
and Discover.
3. Come see that Nebraska has more than just corn! (There are plenty of
fun and exciting things to do in Omaha - such as a great nightlife in
the Haymarket District located right next to campus, great shopping, the
world's largest indoor jungle and desert at the Omaha zoo, an IMAX
theater, and much, much more!)
2. You won't get more bang for your buck at any other APO Conference!
Your registration includes 4 meals (Sat. and Sun. breakfast, Sat. lunch,
and a semi-formal banquet Sat. night), all conference and workshop
materials, a cool Omaha pen and lapel pin, awesome conference souvenir,
and unlimited leadership, friendship, and service opportunities!
1. Come 'unite in Brotherhood' with the Brothers from Region VIII! After
all, "Eight is Great!"
