Hi, Len,=0A=
=0A=
Thanks for getting back in touch with me; I have heard of you via Bessie's =
B. Impressed Blog. I would love to come to the shop to see your equipment =
as well as the typefaces/designs and ink colors you have available.=0A=
=0A=
I am in no rush for the order so it's fine if I receive the cards within a =
week. Would it cost the same to print a set of stationery/folded note card=
s provided that I supply the paper?=0A=
=0A=
Thanks,=0A=

Hello, APO,=0A=
=0A=
I was wondering how much it would cost to print 100 letterpress=0A=
business cards in 1 or 2 colors of ink? What kind of papers do you=0A=
have? Is this service limited to only MIT community?=0A=
=0A=
Thanks,=0A=

Hi Rossana,=0A=
=0A=
* Apology for no one getting back to you sooner. The Press Shop=0A=
Manager is away from the Internet right now.=0A=
=0A=
* When do you need these by?=0A=
=0A=
* You might get them a bit sooner, if you only order one color.=0A=
(It's four to six hours of labor per color to do this. And you have=0A=
to wait 24 hours for each color to dry before doing the next.)=0A=
=0A=
* Printing is done on a volunteer basis as a community service. One=0A=
of the Press Operators has to agree to take the job on. None have=0A=
so far, but this email might get one of them to contact you.=0A=
=0A=
We only print for the MIT Community and for 501(c)3 non-profit=0A=
organizations.=0A=
=0A=
* The shop is limited in what typefaces and pictures it has.=0A=
It's all hard metal type.=0A=
=0A=
It's wise for you and the Press Op to meet in the Shop, so you can=0A=
see what is possible.=0A=
=0A=
It's possible to get custom pictures made, but this would add a lot=0A=
of time to getting your cards printed. With cost perhaps in the=0A=
$25.00 to $100.00 range.=0A=
=0A=
It's also possible to buy new typefaces. But you would have to pay=0A=
for them, and it's hundreds of dollars and significant time to order=0A=
them.=0A=
=0A=
* The Shop has some old business card stock. It's a bit faded. You=0A=
have to look through it and see if any of it is acceptable to you.=0A=
=0A=
The cost of this card stock is currently $2.00/100 cards.=0A=
=0A=
If not, you can buy business card stock at=0A=
=0A=
University Stationary. 311 Mass Ave Cambridge, MA 02139=0A=
=0A=
and get it to the Press Operator.=0A=
=0A=
* We currently charge $5.00 per color=0A=
(or numbering or perforation or scoring - but these don't matter to=0A=
you)=0A=
plus $0.20/100.=0A=
=0A=
So the charge beyond the cost of paper for your 100 cards would be=0A=
$5.20 per color.=0A=
