Ashley:

I agree. I hope that nothing in W20-454 is damaged.

Your best chance at getting better consideration is for the students
to get some Faculty and Deans involved. Maybe get reps from most of
the activities with space involved.

Might also point out that LSC and APO are both community service
organizations that would have loved to help the contractor out by
moving stuff, if you only had a week's notice, instead of less than a
day.

The thing is, Claudette's email indicates that 1) they knew this project
was going on for some time; and 2) they are concerned about the "sensitive
items" we have in there. But how concerned can they be if they give us such
inefficient notice that we are unable to move them? They're just paying lip
service to the reasonable expectations of their job. And asking for a same
day walk through the space? Are they the only people's whose time is
important, that they think everyone else can drop what they're doing and
rush over there? Yet they ask that we, the people who aren't getting paid
to do their jobs, be patient and understanding...of what? Incompetence? The
inability for them to dig deep and tell the contractors they can't spring a
last minute scheduling of work to be done in certain rooms? If we can't
move them in time and the contractors move them, and break something, are
   they paying for that?
