all

* if you have a choice (you can find the color you want in a tube, or
you don't need a special ink to print on an unusual surface (metal,
  glass, plastic, etc), or etc

the ink in tubes is generally
** much less dry - often just prints well as is
  ** dries quicker once printed

* before you close and put the tape back on a can of ink, put in about
a tablespoon of solvent, and gently swash it all around the can
helps it be less dry for the next user

* before you close a tube of ink, push any air out of the nozzle, so
  it's full of ink

thanks
