cat (and journeymen)

journeymen:
if you want to advise or help cat out with her wedding invite job,
please let her know
the paper is worth looking at
(i didn't send this to the rest of the list,
because none of them have enough experience to help
)

* you might want to show anne's paper to ellen and lori,
(they are both by mit alot,
and you should be able to arrange a time to meet with you)
and see if they think it's printable on the shop,.
and if they have any hints or suggestions
it be even better if alan meisler had a look,
he has done lot of printing in the shop,
more recently than either ellen or lori,
and did a number of innovative jobs
* i looked @ anne's paper again today
as i told you, the smoothness ...
(it might be calendered, coated, or both, but that's not important,
and with fine paper,
hard to tell without a microscope and some special tools)
... the smoothness, just means you have to tray them, and let them dry
enough
i could get a decent image on the paper,
but i can't know without trying it,
if i can do so without heavy embossing that would show on the back
of the cards, and also be very bad for the type
---
* use the least dried out brown ink the shop has.
probably in the metal "toothpaste" tubes
* you could consider telling anne, you're not sure you can get decent
quality, and ask if she is willing to have you experiment with the
reply cards at her risk of losing the paper, and if it doesn't work
out, we won't charge press use fees on the experiment
i suggest the reply cards, cause they are probably the cheapest
* you could also go on, assuming you can do it
in which case i advise getting 50 total extra copies from anne of
each of the three papers
* you could cancel the job
