Officers' reports:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SVP (Barbara): I have Charlie to PC Chapter Weekend II and Bert
to PC a Halloween project. Getting close to obtain a project at
Cambridgeport Children Center. We are either going to build
a playground for them at Open Project I or doing some other
thing later in the term depending on their confirmation. We
won't do Mass Jam but Ezra is still PC'ing Chapter Weekend
I. I need UMOC PC. Shall form UMOCCom meeting after first
Chapter Meeting on 9/7.
MVP (Dave): I updated IC board. We got about 60 people's names
at Midway. First Open Meeting is tomorrow at 1-135. Please
show up at 5:30pm and wear your letters. Will send reminder
mail. Richard will deal with munchies. Finished revising pledge
manual. Need help postering. Will have Open Meeting IV on
Sun. 9/11. Bridget is in charge of drop poster. Will reuse
most of last year's IC Panel stuff. I find the checklist in the
pledge manual too similar to the pledge term roadmap proposed
at CPPC. I'll hand out brief yet complete roadmap at open
meetings instead. Give me suggestions though. I shall contact
old prospectives.
AVP (Gilbert): Current signup sheet lead people to contact inactive
brothers and to neglect active alumni during phone callings.
We don't want to segregate people but need to devise a better
method. Will discuss with Dave and Kate later.
Treasurer (Henning): If you want to be active, let me know. Pay
your dues and your debt, and I'll be grateful.
FC (Rachel): Dinner trip Friday and movies Sunday!
PubDir (LeaAnn): [not present] [We need more paints and drop
poster paper! Henning will deal with paper.]
Historian (Dima): [not present] [Kate has talked to Dima about
putting photos into an album.]
President (Kate): Chapter Meeting is Wed 9/7 at 7:30pm at w20-
400, featuring junior officers election. Please encourage brothers
to run. UMOCCom meeting afterwards. Will send out email
and snail mail reminder.
Committee reports:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Chapter Weekend (Ezra): Mass Jam is dead. Will deal with CWI
still.
Book Exchange (Jeff): Signup sheet is out! Please sign up.
Reg Day (Hannah): I have manpower and food PC's. Email is sent.
Kate: Should do a combined phone calling for book exchange and reg
day and their setups.
Dave: There are still open drop-off hours on Friday: 12-2 and 3-4.
Announcements:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kate: Need more people to move books tomorrow (9/1) at 9am.
Bridget: I need help with painting drop poster after meeting.
Barbara: City Days: Meet at Kresge at 9am. We are helping Margaret
Fuller's House. There will be free food.
Bridget: I updated the office calendar. Please correct my mistakes.
Dave: President Reception is on Sat. at 8am. Email me if you want
to go but didn't notify me yet.
PFTGOTO:
~~~~~~~
Barbara: I got driver's license. The test was easy but the examiner
was way too late.
Hannah: No more junior lab! I can be active!
Henning: LSC sucks!
Richard: Removed wisdom teeth. Visited APO chapter at Drexel
University at Philadelphia and it was ok [they are assholes.]
Also visited my sister's chapter.
Barbara: Thanks to Bert and Charlie.
Dave: Thanks to those who came to Midway and Frosh Essay Evalu-
ation.
Rachel: My computer is [still] flaky. Think about dinner trip place so
we don't need to waste a whole hour deciding.
Hannah: I'm thinking about switching to Biology.
Richard: Window cleaning is fun!
Ping: Moving sucks!
Kate: No. It *really* sucks!
Barbara: I will be moving tomorrow, actually.
Henning: Having a long list of PFTGOTO when you have an 8-o'clock
appointment sucks! [door is that way...]
Dave: Jennifer at ET wants to pledge among the 1,000 things she is
doing.
Hannah: Rush sucks!
Kate: Thanks to Barbara. Sorry for being late.
