I *was* with the group, and did see the fireworks, and I enjoyed myself =) but
I must say that I do agree with Jeff... to me, a very important part of the
evening is hearing and "seeing" the music...
I manage to reconcile the difficulty of seeing both orchestra and fireworks by
getting up and walking around the esplenade when the music starts. You can get
a great view if you don't mind keeping moving. Of course, this can leave you
footsore... =)
I'm not going to be strongly vocal about changing the canonical
location, but I certainly wouldn't object if such a proposal were
made.
