Alright, guys. Below is the MIT Ballroom Dance Club's Spring 1994 Workshop
Schedule. I mentioned this at the last chapter meeting. I plan on going
Sunday. No partner necessary. No experience necessary. No coordination
or dexterity necessary. Dress shoes recommended. Cost for the beginner
class is 50 cents. The teachers are usually excellent. And remember: THIS
IS MIT. WE ARE ALL AS BAD AS YOU ARE. STOP FEELING SELF-CONSCIOUS,
DAMMIT!!! (This has been a public service announcement.) :)

So. Anyone interested in coming (it's a lot more fun with a group) should
join me starting THIS SUNDAY at 1pm at Walker.

Swing is very cool, very fun, and very easy. It's the canonical dance step
to almost everything.

Hustle requires a little more dexterity, but is also *very* fun.

Both are fast-ish steps; Hustle is a little faster than Swing. But really,
truly, and honestly, they're fun. You should try. C'mon. Just try. I'm
not trying to pull something over your heads. If you come with an open
mind and an awake body, you'll learn a lot, and i bet you'll have fun too.
I mean, I do NOT look like the type of guy who would do this stuff, but I
do when I get the chance, and the term is young, and we all have free time,
even if some of us are 6.111, so you should come. No partner necessary,
although it can be more fun if you pair up with one.

Tango is fun. :) Yes, i've tried. No, i am obviously not some major
flame of a tango dancer, but they just teach the basics.
Rumba is also fun -- it's another Latin dance.

And you all should at least *try* it. It's more fun with a group!
