Only about half of you have made up your minds whether to help with
the Science Bowl setup and takedown or not. However, further
information has recently come into my possession (nuts... taking a
class from Prof. Lendon is doing weird things to my diction...)
...and I'm sure that you'll be glad to hear that:

1. Science Bowl setup will begin sometime in the afternoon or evening
of Friday the 11th; I will know when by tomorrow or Monday. (They
are apologetic, but the Schedules Office is not going to tell them
what the deal is until sometime tomorrow.)

2. Science Bowl takedown will begin around !! 2 PM !! on Saturday the 12th.
   * Note that Not-being-a-morning-person is not a viable reason not
to attend. :-) (Feel free to invite prospectives and give them
a non-masochistic perspective of the chapter...)
   * However, involvement in Crisis probably is; there's not much I
can do about that. (Thanks for signing up "no" so we know who
      can't make it.)

3. I would like someone who's planning to be at the project to (if
necessary) coordinate things during setup and takedown, get a head
count by the middle of next week so the organizers are happy, and
make a phone calling if half the chapter is still not signed up
before the head count. (Somehow I don't think wake-up calls will
be necessary.) If you feel leadership qualities burgeoning forth
within you, let me know. If you don't, let me know and we'll
figure out what's wrong (evil grin. Just ignore that remark.)
If you want to do these things and you *also* want to be called the
PC, well, that's fine with me too. :)

4. And now, a word from our sponsors:

Do you ever wonder how these projects appear? Do they spring forth
full-grown and armored from the SVP's head, following a colossal
migraine? Does the SVP secretly plow a furrow behind the tennis
courts, plant dragons' teeth, and harvest legions of bloodthirsty PCs?
(Did Tantalus engineer the Ride Board? Did Orpheus design the "Visit
Hell" shirts? Who was that masked man?..)
For the answers to these and other obscure mythological references,
or even if you think you know what the heck I'm talking about, drop by
the first pseudoServComm of the term: next Wed., 6:30ish, APO office.
(Bridget's Scheduling Heuristic #1: Take advantage of natural dinner
formations.) It may not make much sense, but it won't be dull.

YiLFS,
bridget
