Prescript (you know, the opposite of a postscript): please read through
this entire announcement, there's important information near the end.
PROJECT!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
WHO! You folks
WHAT! Easton Children's Museum (day service project)
WHEN! Meet at the office at 9:00am, Saturday 09/21, projected return to
campus in the mid-afternoon
WHERE! Easton, of course -- it's about twenty minutes drive from Cambridge
WHY! Last time we went we helped to work on their exhibits infrastructure
since they were just getting started. We'll probably be helping to
rebuild or enhance specific exhibits this time around.
BONUS! The museum *WILL* be open on Saturday, so the kids will be around.
RSVP! Ping Huang <pshuang@mit.edu>, x5-6600, or sign-up in the office.
I am seeking someone to be project chair for this day project. They'll
need to confirm what work we are doing, confirm transport (shuttling
from the Quincy Red Line T stop is a possibility), and make sure lunch
is taken care of, one way or another. Depending on response from people,
they may also need to make a partial man-power phone-calling.
I REFUSE TO PC ANOTHER PROJECT. If I don't have a volunteer to PC this
project by WEDNESDAY evening, I will call the Museum and cancel the
project Thursday morning. I'M NOT KIDDING. If you want this project to
happen and you would like to practice a little leadership, let me know.
If you aren't the first to respond, never fear: there's a project every
weekend for the next N weeks coming up that need PC's, too.
PC'ing events is an integral responsibility of this chapter's brothers
(and of its prospectives-->pledges-->future-brothers as well). The SVP
is responsible for coordinating the service program, not running it
lock, stock, and barrel, but that isn't the way it feels right now.... :(
== Yours in leadership, friendship, and service,
Ping Huang (F'93 Service V.P.)
