conclave and meetings!

first thing: this term's conclave is coming up rather soon; it will
happen the weekend of march 31-april 2 at wpi in worcester, and you
all want to go because it's *great* fun. :) you'll get to meet brothers
from other chapters, go to cool workshops, learn more about the fraternity,
choose among the many possibly service projects that weekend, and just
get away from mit, among other things. oh, and especially for those of
you who have never been to a conclave before, you can even consider it
research to help our chapter host a conclave. ;)
wpi's registration deadline is march 4. which is *rather* soon, as i'm
sure you might notice. i'm planning on sending in registration stuff
tomorrow afternoon, so if you want to go, *please* tell me before then.
you'll need to tell me what kind of meal you want (meat/veggie/kosher)
and if you want a t-shirt and what size, too. registration is $30,
t-shirts cost $6, you should pay oscar for those. in addition, if you
decide to go later, you can register online at www.wpi.edu/~apo, but
there's a $5 late registration fee for that.
so yeah. you *do* want to go. especially since the theme is "the fountain
of youth conclave", and we're all so very good at bringing out our inner
child....or something... <grin>
and the other item: meeting schedule. the bylaws only require that we
have execcomm meetings once a month (so we could use the other tuesday for
committee meetings if the chairs so desired), and now that a committee
chair has asked for that time, we're actually putting this clause into
practice. :) so next tuesday, there will be a fellowship militia meeting,
but there will be *no* execcomm meeting. the week after, there will be a
chapter meeting, and the week after that an execcomm meeting...i could
start explaining it with other-other-tuesdays, but that just gets
confusing. :) the wuapo (accessible off our web page) should have a note
about this added sometime soon, and the whiteboard calendar in the office
will have all meetings listed on it. and you can always ask me, of course. :)
