Ellen,
Independent of the July plan, today's news indicated that there
is an acute shortage of blood and platelets right now and that
facilities in the Longwood Medical Area (I think Brigham was
mentioned) are making near-term appointments and even accepting
walk-ins. Something to think about for those whose blood is
acceptable for donation.
