I hope everyone is doing well

Next Tuesday, July 21 is the third Tuesday of an odd-numbered month and
normally I'd be sending out a reminder for the AX alumni blood drive and
dinner trip that night, but while things in Massahusetts are starting to
reopen, things are not yet to a point where I'm comfortable resuming the
dinner trips. The Red Cross is requiring appointments for donations - no
walk-ins -- and you generally need to make an appointment abour 10 days
out to find a slot.

So, this is your reminder to please, schedule a blood donation at the
time and place of your convenience if you are eligible. Blood supplies
remain low. For details about eligibility and to schedule an appointment
with the Red Cross, got to: https://www.redcrossblood.org/ [1]

The Red Cross's website states that for a limited time they will be
doing free COVID-19 antibody testing when you give blood. The details
are on their web site.

Personally, I've gotten a bit "off-cycle", but I have a donation
appointment scheduled for the last week of July. At some point in the
future, we'll be able to resume the normal blood drive and dinner trip
nights.

YiLFS,

Ellen Kranzer
