Hey everyone!

There's going to be a Conclave this fall (the weekend of October 18th-20th)=
at the University of Vermont at Montpelier (UVM), in the Burlington area. =
For those who aren't familiar with the term, Conclave is a joint conference=
covering all the chapters in the New England area (CT, MA, ME, NH, and VT)=
, and it's a great experience for brothers and pledges who decide to go. It=
's a great way for you to get to know brothers from other chapters, learn a=
ll kinds of interesting things about the fraternity, and pick up new skills=
that you can take back home with you. So what does this mean for us?

-If you're interested in coming (which a lot of you should be), you need to=
tell me as soon as possible so I can get the registration form into the ho=
st chapter; we're technically already past the deadline for registration bu=
t we can probably get spots (including banquets and T-shirts) if we move fa=
st.

-Each chapter gets two voting delegates; they're required to attend the bus=
iness meetings, and they're our chapter's voice in sectional affairs. We do=
n't have to designate voting delegates on the registration form, but we nee=
d to know who they are before we get up there and I'm putting it on the age=
nda for the chapter meeting on Monday, October 7th at 7PM.

Logistical things:

-Accommodations. We're going to be up there for at least one and possibly t=
wo nights, and I have no idea whether the host chapter did a deal with area=
hotels or whether we're on our own for accommodations. Priceline says that=
we can get something in the Burlington area for around $100-$125 per night=
; presumably, we can triple or quad (or maybe quint, but that would be a st=
retch) in a hotel room so that each person's only liable for $15-25 per nig=
ht of costs.

-Paying for Conclave: Registration is $40 per person, plus $8 for each pers=
on who wants a T-shirt.

-The cost per brother for going, getting a T-shirt, and staying in a hotel =
is going to be roughly $70-80.

-AnChen: once we get a headcount (ideally tomorrow or Wednesday at the late=
st), how fast would you be able to get a check out of the office to UVM?

Really important PFTGOTO (points for the good of the order): There's an ASA=
meeting tomorrow at 6:30PM and someone from our chapter needs to go to rep=
resent us. I can't make it; AnChen, can you? I'd like to know by tonight be=
cause otherwise I need to add Harriet as an approved chapter rep.

Yours in Logistics and Fellowship Support,
Adam Rodriguez
