So if we reserve our hotel rooms before Wednesday, we save ~$30/room
per night! Thus, the Wednesday deadline.
Conclave is October 23-24th. Please let me know ASAP via email if you
are planning on going. If you're not sure, let me know that, too. We
can always cancel extra hotel rooms. :)
(The hotel rooms now are $89/night. Four brothers a room means...
$44.50 per brother for the whole weekend. If that's a problem and you
still want to go, let me know and we can definitely work something
out.)
For those who don't know about Conclave... I have a blurb here from austein:
"Conclaves are like mini-Conventions, though not nearly that scale -
think of the set of people in our Region 1 meetings. (i.e. ~200 people
instead of 2,000) There are Service Projects, which tend to be cool
because they're somewhere you've never had a chance to do service
before. Plenty of workshops on various bits of chapter development,
leadership, etc. Meals together and lots of time to meet new people
from other chapters. A fancy banquet. Hanging out wherever people are
staying over and playing games with other AXs and maybe brothers from
other chapters you can convince to come."
The theme this year is Peace, Love, and Service. (or something like
that). Apparently it's going to be pretty awesome! Pledges are also
encouraged to come. :)
