Volunteer opportunity with Cradles to Crayons on Friday 8/14. Fill
backpacks with school supplies for kids, at City Hall Plaza,
9:30am-2pm. It sounds like it's going to be massive and awesome.
Unfortunately it is during a work day, but would people with flexible
work schedules be interested in a mob?

Hello!
On Friday, August 14, 2009, in a tent on City Hall Plaza, hundreds of
volunteers will help to fill 20,000 backpacks with school supplies for
area kids! The event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
But in order to reach this lofty goal, we need your help!
We need more than 200 volunteers to help with dozens of tasks,
including: filling backpacks; assisting with set-up and clean-up; and
general maintenance of the site. We also need 10-15 very energetic
volunteers to come a bit early and stay a bit late to set up and clean
up.
Unfortunately, we must limit volunteers to people over 14 only.
In order to volunteer, please respond to this e-mail, and we=E2=80=99ll giv=
