Brothers and Pledges,
Regular business for the chapter meeting this Sunday (2000 in W20-400)
will be abbreviated so that we can hold elections and discuss
nominations for Distinguished Service Key (DSK) awards.

If you are interested in holding an officer position (President, Service
Vice-President, Membership Vice-President, Fellowship Vice-President,
Treasurer, Administrative Coordinator, or Publicity Director), let one
of the members of the nominations committee (austein, lwest, and
cristen) know. Nominations will also be taken from the floor on Sunday.
The only restriction on whom may run for positions is that "members
must be active for the term for which they are to be elected to office."
For descriptions of the duties of the officers, see Article III of the
Chapter Bylaws (available at <https://web.mit.edu/apo/Bylaws/bylaws.pdf>).

Distinguished Service Key awards are given to those who have
demonstrated outstanding or continued service. We will be discussing
nominations to receive this award. In order to vote on DSKs, you must
be present for some part of the discussion on Sunday. Voting will begin
within 24 hours of the end of Sunday's chapter meeting and will continue
for seven days or until everyone eligible to vote has done so.

Additionally, to vote in elections or on DSKs, you must be active. If
you have not yet paid active membership dues, bring $35 in cash, check,
or TechCash form to the meeting (or pay beforehand). If this is a
financial hardship for you, talk to me or any of our advisors (Ellen,
Lori, etc.).

Even if you are not eligible to vote, I highly encourage you to attend
the meeting.

YiLFS,
Zev
