lot of people won't be present.

manayach will do Steak Fry

Info for invitations ready? For SFF and Steak Fry. Not yet. Will be ready
in the next few days.

Treasurer:
absent
Dues need to be paid by the end of the Chapter Meeting on March 16th.
You can only vote to elevate pledges if you've paid by then.

PubDir:
absent

AC:
I'm behind sending out minutes. I can send out minutes from 3 meetings, but
one of them is a mess, and I want to fix it.
-------

APOcEd:
We had an issue out at the last meeting. Since I wasn't there, I dunno if
people were upset or happy...
"Happy!"
I'm getting articles for the next one; I still need more.
kchen still has an article from Splash last term he hasn't submitted yet.
No date set for the next one yet.

OM:
I'm working. The office is getting cleaner.
Looking into buying a sewing machine, and making a sewing corner in the
office.
Have you started a map of the office yet?
No! It's still a mess!

Historian:
Sorting through old pictures to upload them.
Got pictures from the pledge ceremonies.
Will send out a thing to the chapter on how to access pictures and stuff.

SVP:
Yesterday was HMMT, and some other stuff. It was PC'd by a pledge and
Yi-Hsin.
Nothing formally scheduled for next week.
In house project sometime next week.
Maybe a Project Linus/food thing next Thursday or Friday night.
Nothing with glitter or messy food to mess up the office/the quilts.

Advisor:
Memorial fund for Greg McMullen. We don't have to worry anything about it on
our end. It just happens.

Prez:
Membership chart was supposed to be done by last meeting, but I didn't get
it finished. Does anyone want to help? (some volunteer)
Over the past week I've been considering a kitchenette in the office.

Bookex:
It seems to have gone well. Yi-Hsin's taking care of the aftermath. Some
people
didn't pick up books last week, so they'll be coming by during office hours.
If you have office ours, you need to go to them this week.

Pledge Class Namesake:
This pledge class needs one. Any suggestions?
A lot of the namesakes are still around and do stuff. If they aren't local,
they make a good effort to come back and see people.
Often, if we can't think of someone, the old namesakes suggest older ones...
How far back do we want to go?
Bonnie Kellerman? She's been doing lots of stuff, and hasn't been a
namesake.
epower found a book of president's logs with names of alums, last
updated 2003
zev reads some names from the log
There seems to be a lot of people who like the idea of bonnyk.
We should talk to her first, to make sure it's okay. If not her, Noa
Rensing.

Stuff prepared for next week's Chapter Meeting:
Last year, we changed the dues structure since Nationals changed their
policy.
There are no minutes from the meeting where we changed it, and the standing
policy was not updated. So I've been sorting through it. There are
discrepencies between what the policy was supposed to be changed to, and
what
Nationals policies are.
National Pledge Fees are $32, and we do +$3 to make it a nice number.
There's
also the pin, which costs $5. We'll change it to $32 National, $5 pin, -$2
chapter subsidary.

Approval of Events
We have a standard of quality that we try to uphold with all of our
projects.
It reflects badly on us when we, as a chapter, agree to do a project,
and then
only one or two brothers show up. It used to be that a simple majority had
to approve a project for it to happen. As the chapter grew, it became
impossible for half the chapter to do a project.
Is it better to not have a project than to have it fall through?
The new policy would require a minimum number of people to approve each
project, based on the number of people that the project would require.
We should add in a vote by proxy clause.
People should be able to abstain in case they don't disapprove of the
project,
but cannot help with it. It should be clear.
It should be that voting yes is "Yes I will be there", abstention is "I
don't
care" or "I approve, but cannot go", and no is "I don't think we should
do this
project."
What about enforcement? Enforcing people to vote, and to go if they approve.
People should be told about the projects before the meeting, so they know
how they'll vote, or have a vote sent in, if they'll be absent.
This means we'll need to be more organized, have projects ready really
early.
Let's change the date from March 2nd to March 16th.

New Business
If you're doing something, and you want the chapter to know, let the APOcEd
know

SVP will have a really cool thing coming up soon.
There's this thing on campus trying to solve the Energy Crisis. SVP
talked to
a bunch of people. There will be a project to retrofit electrical stuff on
campus. It will probably be long and need a lot of people, but it's long
because of training, and there will be pizza.

Anyone here not done a big form yet?

I got the Pistol Coach to agree to do a gun anatomy thing

PFTGOTO

Go feel Brown's hair. It's soft.
