If you're going to be around towards the end of spring break, you should
come on this project!
Basically, People Making a Difference is celebrating its 15th
anniversary with a "Dessert Tasting, Awards, and Silent Auction" event
at the MIT museum, and they need people to help set up, and possibly
also to run the event and clean up afterwards.
There's also a pizza dinner involved for the volunteers.
There's three "shifts"....please let me know as soon as possible (but no
later than next Tuesday 3/27) if you want to come, and which shifts you
want to help out during:
Shift 1: Everyone who's helping needs to arrive promptly at 5:00 p.m
(we'll probably meet in the APO office at 4:30 or so). and help with
setup until about 7; then we'll have pizza.
Shift 2: If you want to, you can stay and help staff the event itself
from 7:30-9:30 (could involve staffing ticket table, drink table,
collecting trash, etc). If you want to do this you would have to wear
nice black pants/skirt and a white shirt. Volunteers could take
alternating 30 minute shifts of working/not working and be a guest at
the event for half of it.
Shift 3: If you're feeling really helpful, cleanup is from 9:30-10:30
(you may get to go home with leftover food...)
So, to recap:
Friday 3/30
At the MIT museum
Shift times:
5:00-7:30 Setup (required for all volunteers)
7:30-9:30 Event (has a dress code for volunteers)
9:30-10:30 Cleanup
RSVP to me by Tuesday!
