Are you refering to an earlier concern from AT&T about Netscape's parallel 
GETs?  If so, then I don't believe that concern has any bearing on this
current problem.

We also saw problems yesterday which seem to be similar to the ones
that other large server admins are describing in this thread. Our
internal proxy is also in the 100K+ requests/day class.  As far as I
can tell our problems are triggered by events upstream of the proxy
server, such as broken firewall machines or problems in the external
internet.  Beyond that I have no data yet and I'm still browsing this
thread to get an idea what to look for.
