A while back, there was some discussion about a server doing different things
based on the type of browser in use. There was some discussion about
adding various headers to describe the browser, about having a table of
table of browser types and various other options. In addition, there was some
recent discussion about authentication and other browser and server features.
What I was wondering, is there anyone keeping a table of what browsers and
servers support what features. For instance, it was recently stated that
Mosaic had a problem with authentication and thus one service favored NetScape
as the browser of choice of that service.
Does anyone have a list of features and which browsers and servers either
fully or partially implement them?
