Below is a note from a friend who is upset that Lotus is not supporting OS/2 as it should. Please review this and help get the word out about these APARS caused by the LOTUS NOTES OS/2 Client.

We had to go with the Windows version of Notes because 4.1 for OS/2 caused so many serious video problems. Lotus acknowledged the problem but could not tell us it's status. I've called Jerry Daniel to see if he can get more out of Lotus. So, I called IBM to get their view of the problem. Here is what I got from IBM (This message is also my documentation of the problem call):
I opened problem (PMR Removed) on Friday, 7/12 at 2:13pm.
I was called by Fernando (512-823-5455) who knew about the problem with fonts in OS/2 and Notes 4.1. He said IBM is working on the problem and he believes it also involves some changes to Notes itself. Anyway, its appears to me to be at level below the video drivers and causes problems for almost all of the video drivers. We are on the interested parties list on the S3/864 problem and will be contacted once a resolution has been reached. Given the APAR list, do you think Lotus was trying to break OS/2 or didn't they test their code or what?
Anyway, pick the year you think Lotus products will run on OS/2, send me a dollar and I'll enter you in the raffle. Considering even a modest interest rate, we should eventually have a very happy winner!
These are the APARs currently open because of this problem:
PJ22972 - S3 864 (We are on this list since it was the first reported and most likely first to be fixed)
PJ22982 - Cirrus Logic Driver
PJ22989 - S3 Trio
PJ22973 - wytec
PJ22974 - ATI Mac322
PJ22976 - ATI Mac64
PJ22978 - S3 801, 825 and 928
PJ22854 - XGA
PJ22977 - Tseng ET4000
PJ22979 - Western Digital 9724 (thinkpads)
PJ22980 - Western Digital 90C33
PJ22981 - Western Digital 90C31
