On snorklewacker, talk thinks I'm root --- talk requests I make show
up as "connected requested by root@snork" and "talk root@snork"
correctly completes the connection.

Also, telnetting to the pop daemon on lantel.com fails, possibly by
insisting on an encrypted connection.

(I can connect from other machines.)
Also, netscape doesn't want to download mail correctly --- sipb1 was
trying to get her mail from the lantel.com pop server via netscape (which
is why we were checking telnet as above); it gives a "no disk space error."
The netscape options are set to put mail in the sipb1 homedir in the sipb
cell, in which only 357K of 17.5M is used. It works properly elsewhere.
