Okay, a status report. Things I know about which we have left to are:

	* The Athena mainline still needs some more work that we know
about to be ready for a release. But it's close enough for
	  testing.

	* athena/etc/xdm probably still needs a lot of work.

	* We need to bring in motif and probably do a bit of work on
it. (Unfortunately, I think it's hard to find a clean Motif
distribution, but 1.2 is essentially dead at this point so
	  it probably doesn't matter.)

	* I have the packs hierarchy except for packs/install
essentially all done, but it needs to be reviewed, which I'm
doing a couple of files at a time to avoid overloading our
	  reviewers.

	* The install needs to be done.

We also have to decide what to do about clusterinfo. The Athena
clusterinfo strategy would mean that people would have to get cluster
information before their machines would work (a big lose), would make
no sense if people were running both NetBSD and some future similar
Linux system on their machine at the same time, and would impede
getting machines working in domains other than mit.edu (like LCS). So
we probably want a different approach.
