Sigh. Try 3.

As I understand it, each disk can have a MBR (if that's not the
correct terminology, I apologize, I don't know what else to call it)
and each partition can have a MBR. I have an MBR on the first disk on
the first IDE bus. I can get it to load the MBR on another disk or
partition. Therefore, if I can get what netbsd needs to boot (its
bootloader?) on its partition, then I'm set. 

Once I can do this, then it might be worth my trouble to take my
computer apart and test it, but if I can't, then I won't.

Am I still as clear as mud? :-(
