cache corruption

So, I've already pointed out that I'm noticing cache corruption, but
I thought I might add some stuff I've noticed:

1) It seems to happen to specific files. For example,
	/mit/outland/lib/app-defaults/Netscape
gets some bad data in it regularly. This happens once in a while,
and is fixed by flushing the file. However, it will return after a while
to the same file. Even booting single-user and cleaning the cache, or
setting the cachesize to 1 and then back doesn't help in the long run.
other files include /usr/X11/include/X11/Xlib.h, and ~/.zwgc.desc

2) There are no specific programs that seem to make it trigger (i.e., gcc
often ended with cache corruption on the Sparc5's, although this
could just be a side effect of the fact that compiling involves
      many reads and writes).

3) It seems to have crept up with 1.1A, although it did occur with 1.1, and
I believe 1.0A, though not as regularly.

4) It doesn't just happen to my machine, or to my login.

Any ideas? (the fact that it picks specific files makes me wonder if
those things have something in common?)
