Hi - I've been "listening" to the Java mail or a while and think I've
finally found a good reason to "sidegrade" my own Sun from 4.1.3 to
Solaris 2.x. (i.e. to play with java & hotjava).

Before I bother, can you tell me whether I will be able to use j & hj,
as I am using a pc with a Windows-baced X server as my only graphical
entry point to my Sun box - I have an IBM terminal as console. Obviously,
I cannot run the old NeWS-based apps. Do I need special support for
display PostScript?

[Moderator: Neither Java nor HotJava have anything to do with NeWS or
display PostScript (except some hackers in common). HotJava is just
an X app, so you can display it on remote X servers. That said, there
is a byte sex bug in the alpha 2 that causes embedded graphics to be
somewhat mangled -- sort of zebra striped -- when displayed to a
machine of opposite byte sex of the client. It's annoying but not
fatal, and will be corrected in our next release...]
