If you're platformed on Win95/NT, you can do this:

        Purchase Symantec C++ 7.2
        goto "http://sunweb.symantec.com/lit/dev/javaindex.html"
        Download 7.21 patches (free)
        Download Espresso (cafe') beta

You now have an "almost" full-featured java development environment,
including Symantec's wonderful graphical class editor and
hierarchy browser (which prints also!).

No, I don't work for Symantec, and I prefer MOST of the microsoft
MSVC 4.0 IDE, but Java's here, and Symantec's got'em!

Symantec's AppExpress ALSO PRODUCES JAVA APPLICATIONS AND APPLETS!
It's like an AppWizard for Java! Though it doesn't yet
support MDI (SDI and console only). Still, it's FREE -- and
remember, it's BETA!

NOTE: There is no java resource editor, but I may write one
in the next couple of weeks.
