Hi all,
I have reported this problem to Netscape on the day 2.0b6 came out,
but not received any answer yet. At least my troubles are connected to
X11 visuals:

I use a Sun SPARC with a Parallax XVideo board (live video and
truecolor). The X server is run with an 8-bit (pseudocolor) default
visual. When viewing any Java pages (e.g. http://java.sun.com), the
following happens:

Netscape 2.0b3 in any configuration: it works.

Netscape 2.0b{5,6*} called with the default visual (best) crashes when
I try to view any Java-enhanced page, or even when the Java console is
opened.

Netscape 2.0b{5,6*} called with "-visual pseudocolor" is able to
display Java appletts and the Java console works, too.

Netscape 2.0b{5,6*} called with "-visual grayscale" doesn't crash on
Java pages, but doesn't display any widgets either.

My suspicion is that the problems are connected to the 24-bit
TrueColor visual not being the default visual of the X server.

Has anybody else experienced similar problems? Any cure? Your help is
appreciated.
