To answer my earlier question, java applets are not able to open local
files (unless you do a lot of playing around - and then only in the
appletviewer). Therefore, if there is any way of making my applet dependant
on my computer in any way? (i.e., can I pass a string to my applet from my
computer in any way other than applet tag parameters)?
