Hi, I've been lurking on the java lists for about a week and have found the
discussions very useful. At the same time I've been writing a little applet
and wanted to get some opinions on what I'm doing.
The applet i've written is called ExtraMenuApp and what it does is add a menu
to the hotjava menu bar. The items in this menu all go to a URL of some kind
when they are selected. See http://www.uts.edu.au/~mpf/java/extramenu.html for
further details.
What I would like to know is:
- Is it a bad idea adding extra menus to a browsers menu bar?
- Is this likely to break with future releases of hotjava?
- What other uses can people see for this other than the basic
bookmark style menu I've implemented at the moment?
I look forward to your comments.
Matthew
