No you're not the only person who believes this, but you and anyone else
who does are wrong.  Java loses to the extent that it doesn't provide a
credible cross-platform story.  It is in its best interests to be on
every desktop, and antithetical to its philosophy to be held back to
push Solaris sales.

Not to mention the fact that the Solaris and Win32 JDK beta were simul-
taneously released last night and are on java.sun.com now...
