Java the Language
Arthur van Hoff
Date: 1/6/95
Time: 12:30 - 1:30pm
Where: Crossroads Room, MPK11
Java, a new programming language developed at Sun Microsystems, is one
of the first languages that deals successfully with many aspects of
programming for the Internet. The Java language is very similar to C
and C++ but it is much simpler. It deals with issues of portability,
security, and robustness in new and interesting ways without
compromising performance. This talk will explain the Java language
design in detail, including the motivation behind the implementation.
