I am having probalems using the TIS Firewall with HotJava - try as I might
I can't gain access to outside machine's web servers. I am a bit confused
by the firewall configuration dialogs but think I have tried most of the
reasonable settings.
Here is a copy of the bug report / feature request I just sent to SUN:
More info on the TIS free firewall we are using is available

1) After setting up firewall to be openmarket.com and
setting the security dialog settings for our proxy server
(www-proxy.openmarket.com) I can not access computers
outside the company.
The error is:
Net socket exception connection timed out
2) I tried the alternate access URL for apps which don't
understand firewalls:
http://www-proxy.openmarket.com:xxxx/http://java.sun.com:80/
Where xxxx is the port number.
This yielded a 403 Forbidden by Rule error from a
cern server. I have no trouble using this approach
with netscape.
