What kind of security mechanisms will be available for stand alone java
apps? Something like giving the app unrestricted access to all files
under its intall directory, and user discretionary access to all other
files/directories, would be real cool, since then you could get the
same kind of protection from malicious apps for standalones as we now
have for browser embedded aplets.
