But that date was just a coincidence. The Declaration of Independence
is the reason for the holiday.
Maybe it's called 4th of July since it seems to be the only holiday which
doesn't change dates every year:
Martin Luther King's Birthday, President's Day, Easter, Patriot's Day,
Memorial Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving.
(But what about New Year's Day, Veteran's Day, and Christmas? Why aren't
they called January 1st, November 11th, and December 25th?)
