Regarding the population's view on the Bill of Rights: I'm more optimistic about its chances. There's a difference between what a pollster asks someone out of the blue and the result of an extended political debate, including editorials, speeches and ads. This will probably jog what most Americans learned (and later forgot) in their history classes.
