abbe (Abbe J Cohen):
Well, I'm actually going through with it. I won't be Not Minoring in
course 6 anymore. I still want to get my degree in course 2, but I
want a degree in course 6 also. I know I can't do that and graduate
on time, but instead I think I'm going to double major in course 2 and
course 6, finish my course 2 bachelors in '96, on schedule, and then
get my course 2 masters' and finish my course 6 bachelors at the same
time.
The Committee On Curricula got back to me yesterday. I have a nice
little letter telling me my petition to double major has been
approved. eek. now what do i do?

rjbarbal (Richard J. Barbalace):
Psalm 61
Hear my cry, O G-D; attend unto my prayer.
From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is
overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the
enemy.
I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert
of thy wings. Selah.
For thou, O G-D, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage
of those that fear thy name.
Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.
He shall abide before G-D for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which
may preserve him.
So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily
perform my vows.

sethg (Seth A Gordon):
B'RESHIT (Genesis 1.1-6.8)
God creates a large number of things, including Man and Woman, who
create politics. The serpent introduces Woman to civil disobedience in
the name of academic freedom (3.5); she and her husband attempt,
without success, to form a revolutionary underground (3.8); and when
they are caught, each of them blames someone else (3.12-13).
To punish the human race for the invention of politics, God invents
medicine (3.16), psychiatry (ibid), economics (3.17-19),
fashion (3.21), and travel (3.23-24).
Things pretty much go downhill from there.

therese (Therese):
Our written history is a catalogue of crime
The sordid and the powerful, the architects of time
The mother of invention, the oppression of the mild
The constant fear of scarcity, aggression as it's child
