Ten-year-old Salvatore loves to play with the strips of films on the
projection room floor, kissing scenes edited from the theatre's movies.
After a freak accident blinds the projectionist, he takes over the job
of projecting the movies at the Cinema Paradiso, and this beautiful film
follows the conflicts of his growth from a small child to a young adult.

Fritz Lang directed this film noir thriller in which a homicide
detective (Glenn Ford) pursues an investigation into a suicide despite
opposition from his superiors. Considered one of the most violent
