fallas:
She walks bathed in moonlight, the nightmist in her hair
Beaded pixie crystals where the magic makes its lair.
She runs drenched in moontears, the loving light's caress
Slides silkily around her..alighting on her face
She dances washed in moonbeams, her eyes dark pools of shade
Their mist the sands of an hourglass, the forge where dreams are made.
She sleeps wrapped in moonswaths, a fragrance to me blows
For wrapped about her moontouched wrists the thorns of a thirteenth rose.
She stands bathed in moonlight,`neath midsummer's fiercest day.
She walks, bathed in moonlight, and i watch her walk away.

Gone to that far-off world in Pittsburgh known as CMU, to find what fun
can be had during a Spring Carnival. I might get a little wet and fall a
bit behind, but I don't care. My heart will be happy. And when I return
on Monday, I will work hard for the remaining 5 weeks til the end of the
world. And then everything will be fine.

Well you asked for it, my mail box was full to exploding!
All I can say is this is taken directly from a national news-paper, so
any in-accuracies or sensationalism is theirs!
"Alan Anderson, 27, was on only his second flight when he was
forced to save himself - with help from a cool stranger who talked him
down.
Shocked & sedated Alan said: "After what I've been through
nothing will get me back in the air again. I can't stop shaking."
His father-in-law, businessman Les Rhoades, died at the controls
2000ft over the Welsh coast.
Alan radioed ATC: "I'm in trouble. I'm scared. The pilot with me
has had a heart attack. What can I do? I'm on my own up here. My life is
in my own hands. I've got to do something!"
Pilot instructor Robert Legge, 26, heard the Mayday call while
on a training flight. He headed west to meet up with Alan's yellow &
blue Rallye Minerva.
A transcript of their conversation reveals the tension of what
followed...
LEGGE: I am in an aircraft behind you & I'm going to talk you back to
Cardiff Airfield. Can you see those chimneys in the distance? We are
going to use those as guidance.
ANDERSON: Yes I can see them.
LEGGE: You have to push the throttle forward for more power & pull it
out to reduce power....
I am on your right-hand side. Just relax....what's your speed?
ANDERSON: 102.
LEGGE: That's fine as long as it doesn't get much less. We are going to
do a left-hand circuit. A nice gentle turn to the left. Keep the turn
going all the way round again.
ANDERSON: I understand - but how do you stop it?
LEGGE: Maintain the height, little more power. Thats good. Keep turning
to the left. Roll the aircraft in a gentle bank. Thats fine... gently
bank to the left, if necessary a little bit of power... a little bit
more pressure to maintain your height... I'm going to attempt to get you
down.
ANDERSON: We are going down are we?
LEGGE: We are shortly, yes. Bank gently to the right. We are aiming for
the wide tarmac strip to the right of the white & red lights. Can you
see it?
ANDERSON: Affirmative.
LEGGE: Pull back very gently on the control column. Close the throttle,
just hold it there...& hold it there. Hold it. Hold it. Hold it. Hold
the column back...relax. OK!
They had landed - but Alan's problems still weren't over. As he
tried in vain to cut the engine Mr Legge had to instruct him to turn off
the ignition key.
LEGGE: Has the engine stopped?
ANDERSON: Just stopping now.
LEGGE: Unstrap yourself & the emergency services will see to you.
ANDERSON: Thank God!
LEGGE: You're welcome...it's all in a days work.
Police Inspector Sean Trigg, who was in charge of the emergency,
said: "Alan made a perfect touchdown."
STOP PRESS.
Since this appeared in the papers, I have read that Alan
Anderson has decided to take his Private Pilots Licence as a tribute to
his father-in-law.
