An ageing Broadway star must face the challenge of a ruthless and
ambitious younger actress, who seems innocent and self-effacing but
is making her way up the ladder any way she can. Savage wit and
excellent performances won this movie the Academy Award for Best
Picture in 1938.
Fri. Mar 13 Little Man Tate 26-100 7 & 10
Sensitive prodigy Fred Tate (Adam Hann-Byrd) struggles toward
happiness and acceptance. The conflicting perspectives of his mother
(Jodie Foster) and mentor (Dianne Wiest) are played out through the
child's pain and alienation. Jody Foster's directorial debut.
