"The system is not perfect.". Exactly - which is why I am unconvinced
that nullification is a _net_ benefit for justice. One powerful effect
of having jurors "vote their consciences" (how to distinguish from
"prejudices"?) is to remove the law as a tool for insuring minority
rights. Too much of the advocacy seems to assume that such votes will
only be applied in "good" causes. A judicial escape from unjust laws
needs to be much more thoroughly thought out.
